Role Overview

This position will work either remotely or in an Acceleration office if one is nearby.  The Technology Consultant must be a recognized specialist and client lead, with a deep understanding of the Data Architecture and Systems Integrations that comprise the client's Digital Marketing Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital marketing and extensive direct experience within the marketing technology landscape.

As an important member of the Acceleration team, you will work directly with clients as well as other team members to deliver solutions to unique business problems by leveraging your experience and knowledge.  The Technology Consultant must possess keen business consulting skills and will be responsible for assisting clients in defining solutions for their online marketing initiatives. In addition, you will develop relationships with required clients within the client environment and be part of an Acceleration client facing team that consists of Business Directors, Business Consultants and Project Managers.

The Technology Consultant will also take an active role in driving best practices and methodologies, supporting business development efforts and acting as a thought leader within the organization and in the industry.

The role requires an advanced technical understanding of marketing technology that will allow managing the technology itself.

The position is to work remotely, and you will report to a Principal Consultant and work in a collaborative, team-based structure alongside Program Directors, Technical Consultants and Business Managers. 

Responsibilities

• Support the Acceleration team as part of client projects to deliver technical requirements and solutions in MarTech / AdTech and the following areas of expertise CRM, Segmentation, Content, Media, DMP, Social, DAM, Identity platforms and integration of these platforms with databases and other data sources.

   

  Technical lead and engagement with clients as part of a project team to deliver strategic, best practice, practical technical solutions; from initial scoping through solution design, build, support transition and ultimately ongoing support. Must be familiar with both waterfall and agile methods of delivery.

   

  Drive process and technical innovation, which will require the creation of documents, presentations, architecture diagrams, processes flows, data model diagrams and solution design documents and associated presentations.

   

  Responsible for working with clients and the team to deliver the following type of engagements:

  • Solution Design and Architecture (Medium and High Complexity)
  • RFP management and support
  • Integration specifications
  • Existing solution audit and analysis
  • Data mapping, extract and transformation strategies
  • Relational Data / Data Schemas development
  • Scripting and Query development
  • Reporting specification and delivery
  • Custom application development projects
  • Active mentoring and knowledge transfer within the broader Acceleration Technical TeamLead multiple projects / streams of work within a program and identify additional business opportunities
  • Ensure the highest levels of satisfaction by delivering outstanding service, valuable insights and recommendations to clients
  • Support Acceleration business development efforts by providing technology related market insights and analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree ideally in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar
• 5 years of delivering multi-solution engagements within digital marketing, ideally in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods or Retail sectors
• Strong understanding of internet architecture and database structures
• Marketing technology experience (including marketing production, content management, planning, implementation, various channel use - e.g. email, web, mobile etc., CRM, Audience Management and Analytics) in preferably some of the popular technology stacks including Adobe, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle, IBM, etc.
• Experience in the mobile application environment desirable
• Previous experience of developing loyalty programs
• Technical writing skills aimed at a non-technical audience
• Proven multitasking skills in handling simultaneous multiple projects
• Ability to manage technical discussions with both team members, management and clients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills essential
• Proven Customer-focused work ethic with high standard of service and quality control
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of business English grammar
• Travel will be required
