Who we are looking for:

Mirum Chicago is seeking a Director, Social Media who is responsible for managing and developing the Mirum Commerce Activation Social Media and Insights team. Leverage the latest tools, technology, shopper data and insights turning them into actionable business results and shopper solutions. Actively partner with the cross-functional business teams contributing to program strategy and development that results in positive business results for our clients and Mirum.  

What you'll do:

Social Media Strategy & Community Management

  • Identify the long-term Mirum Commerce Activation strategic direction for social media capabilities, commerce activation models and community management in the market place.
  • Primary point of contact for the planning, strategy, and execution of social media programs
  • Partner with other teams (Marketing, Creative, Interactive, Production) to leverage both paid and organic opportunities on social sites
  • In partnership with the analytics team establish benchmarks and methods to measure the effectiveness of social media platforms and initiatives
  • Identify and implement social media listening and moderation tools that increase efficiency and provide high impact value for the clients and Mirum
  • Develop and implement mechanisms that enable all contributors to maximize social media
  • Identify content and strategies that enable collaboration, alignment and relevance across the agency to drive and deliver high impact results for new and existing business.
  • Develop next generation media models for social (earned, owned and paid) and national media.

Insights & Analytics

  • Establish benchmarks and methods to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs and initiatives
  • Provide standard and turnkey approach for program evaluation.
  • Work with clients and business teams to provide custom research studies

 Client Management

  • Act as agency’s lead social media expert to the client
  • Build a trusting relationship with clients and internal teams to help grow capability and business.
  • Manage client relationship and gain insight that enables the team to provide
    its best work
  • Manage client expectations regarding capabilities, scope and deliverables

 Leadership

  • Motivate, manage, mentor and direct a team towards effectiveness and high impact achievements.
  • Lead, participate in and drive key cross-functional agency strategic initiatives
  • Ability to manage talent and build high performing team(s)
  • Mentor, educate and develop staff
  • Create innovative opportunities for direct reports to increase performance and build the department’s bench strength.

 What you'll need:

  • Exceptional writing and grammatical skills and a flair for using "social networking speak" and online jargon.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly.
  • Extreme attention to detail and outstanding organization skills.
  • Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas.
  • 5+ years direct relevant social media management experience, preferably in a digital/social media agency
  • 8 – 10 years working in account management in an advertising agency or similar marketing services agency.
  • BA/BS degree in business, marketing or related field
