Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Director of eCommerce Media. This role reports to the Group Director of Media and would be responsible for creating and overseeing the execution of our clients’ Amazon media business. The role will interface with internal teams (media, creative, strategy, analytics) and will serve as the lead on key client accounts. The Director, eCommerce Media will also work closely with the Group Director on business development and a growth plan for our Amazon Business.

The position requires a detail-oriented, self-starter who can take ownership of a body of work – ensuring that deliverables are high-quality, pushing the work to be better and keeping client satisfaction high. Responsibilities would include creating media and search briefs for our Amazon work, reviewing and providing input on Amazon media plans, and developing an Amazon strategy for our clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Voice for the agency: Work with clients to define business/brand goals and develop digital strategies based on consumer insights, trend analysis and business objectives. Responsible for representing the discipline within WPP, to clients and other agencies in meetings and leveraging our offerings to solve client problems across the digital space.
  • Grow a team: Attract, recruit and hire top talent. Maintain and retain a high-performance team. Provide thought leadership within our industry, for our clients, and for the agency. Ensures teams are delivering great work; translating client business objectives into media campaign strategies.
  • Innovate: Understand the key trends that drive consumer behavior and affect the way that brands communicate – always living at the intersection of brands, culture and creativity. Provide thought leadership within our industry, for our clients, and for the agency.
  • Media Strategy: Develop and present strategic, multi-channel media plans that meet client objectives.
  • Analysis: Perform campaign analysis directly relevant to optimization and/or planning and buying decisions.
  • Growth: Advance Wunderman Commerce’s marketing capabilities by identifying trends, understanding the competitive landscape and crafting innovative programs. Responsible for driving organic and new business growth of Wunderman Commerce.
  • Translate ideas into briefs/action: Manage the planning and implementation activities for an account or group of accounts. Lead multiple client workstreams congruently and serve as a trusted advisor to all clients. Perform campaign analysis directly relevant to optimization and/or planning and buying decisions. Aid in development and presentation of media POV's.

What you’ll need:

  • 6+ years of media and search planning and buying. Digital experience required.
  • Amazon DSP and Amazon Search experience required.
  • Experience planning, buying and executing dynamic digital media plans.
  • Experience building and managing a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - Must have a knack for telling a story with data.
  • Ability to analyze data and market research.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
