Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson is seeking an Account Supervisor to join the IMSCI  team in our Stamford, CT office. The Account Supervisor (AS) serves as the authority and partner to their assigned client accounts for the company’s medical education products or services ensuring that all projects are progressing as needed, identifying additional client needs, and selling in new projects and services to meet those needs. 

What you’ll do:

  • Client | Serve as primary client contact by attending and conducting most client meetings and internal project status meetings; conduct oral and written presentations; and review all project financials including billing and reconciliations. Maintain a long-range view of the account and be able to plan and manage activities throughout the year. Counsel clients in marketing and spearheads efforts to develop strategies and goals and conduct periodic reviews of clients’ business to identify business needs. Ensure client satisfaction and identify and address issues proactively.
  • Manage | Manage and report on budget and profitability by collaborating with finance partner. Act as senior manager at physician education events and be comfortable talking with physicians regarding the science around the specific therapeutic class.
  • Team | Supervise team; demonstrate strong leadership, provide direction, and professional development. Partner with scientific counterpart. Participate in proposal writing and new business pitches as well as create and/or edit client presentations
  • Process | Maintain proficiency in the particular therapeutic area and in close enough contact with the client and his/her business to identify new growth opportunities. Adhere to timelines and agreed upon project and account milestones. Maintain project records for efficiencies and to ensure institutional history.

  • Problem solver | Ensure quality control by reviewing agency products including: creative work, financial analyses, key client communications, key schedules, creative strategies, and strategic decks. Assist with day-to-day account problem solving by providing guidance to junior team and raising issues and solutions to senior team. Dig in and figure out how to work around problems. 
  • Ego-less | We all wear the hats that need wearing, it’s a mentality that makes the team successful.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as Senior Account Manager with demonstrated history of leadership, proven record of success, and business development.
  • Demonstrated experience in a variety of medical education activities.
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Relationship-building with key physicians across the therapeutic areas.
  • Willingness to work overtime, travel, and attend off-hour events, etc.
