Who we are looking for:
As Group Director, Social Media you will provide team and client oversight for our biggest accounts. You will manage a team of Supervisors, Managers and Associate Managers to deliver executional excellence while pushing the team to think outside the box and overdeliver for clients. You will work in a fast-paced, highly creative deadline-driven environment, so we are seeking candidates with attention to detail and a desire to constantly exceed expectations. You must be a self-starter and possess in-depth knowledge of social media and influencer marketing as well as be comfortable managing senior-level clients.
What you’ll do:
- Manage | Manage junior team members in both client project delivery and career growth. Manage senior level clients on social strategy, best practices, new developments in the industry and on platforms, issue management and planning. Serve as most senior agency social media expert for clients and cross-functional agency partners.
- Process | Responsible for delivery of all client campaigns with executional excellence. Serve as the point of contact for client issue escalation. Partner with leadership to enhance team skillset, develop new offerings, evaluate and onboard new platforms. Utilize a data-driven approach to ensure campaigns are based in fact-based optimizations. Work to grow the business year over year and identify new opportunities that exist within existing client work.
- Team | Work closely with Account, Creative and Strategy departments on day-to-day client work delivery as well as growth opportunities and planning. Support leadership in new business efforts, serving as a key liaison between agency parties for opportunities, capabilities presentations, etc. Partner with cross-agency team on process improvement, issues management, client issues, and other enhancements that drive the business and also the agency forward.

What you’ll need:
- 10+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, and/or digital media planning (agency experience preferred).
- Experience managing senior-level clients in day-to-day work as well as opportunities to grow the business year over year.
- Proven success in managing social media campaigns for CPG and retail clients including social strategy, community management, influencer marketing, and paid media.
- Track record of growing client revenue year over year both with current and new clients.
- Expert knowledge of social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok and others.
- Experience managing influencer marketing campaigns including influencer recruitment, briefing, content creation, and reporting.
- Ability to develop social media and influencer plans for clients that include goals, KPIs, specific campaign strategies, recommended tools, budgets and timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams (direct management, matrixed and cross-functional experience, a must).
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Polished demeanor with clients, vendors, and publishers.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively on the telephone, in person, and in writing a must.
- Strong organizational skills in order to coordinate many functions in a fast-paced environment.
