Who we are looking for:
Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Junior Copywriter to join creative forces on a large existing government account. As a Junior Copywriter, you will collaborate with a collection of creative thinkers united by the simple passion for making things better. The ideal candidate will be passionate about TV, Print, Broadcast, Product, and also be knowledgeable about the form and function of the digital space. You possess the ability to see the big picture and, while working within a team, develop keen concepts that exceed client objectives and expectations while engaging others.

What you’ll do:
- Craft | Conceptualize new writing ideas, slogans, and social tactics based on established voice and tone for various platforms. Capture brand voice in interactive marketing materials including TV commercial copy, radio broadcast content, social media, print, and product ads. Working closely with other members of the team, you will help concept writing and execute plans. You understand the importance of prioritizing projects within timelines for project milestones.
- Partner | Work with creative leadership to concept, design, present, and defend work while addressing client needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the agency to ensure timely deliverables. We’re working with a lot of unknowns – you must be a champion of team environments that are comfortable with ambiguity and encourage collaboration. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and other client contact as necessary.
- Lead & Innovate | Exemplify fearlessness in the face of the undefined, with a passion for bringing order through design exploration. Concept and collaborate on campaign ideas, social tactics, and other marketing activations with a creative team while working on multiple projects. Bring proactive ideas to the table.

What you’ll need:
- 1-2 years of creative writing experience within a B2B or B2C environment. Social or digital agency environment preferred.
- Portfolio showcasing creative experience and strong conceptual thinking.
- Some experience creating content and executing campaigns for TV, Product, Broadcast, Print, or Social Media preferred.
- Experience working with government contracts to fulfill creative content execution is a plus.
- Must be a quick thinker, able to develop concepts and carry out creative design solutions on a tight schedule.
- Ability to handle a high-volume environment with rapid turnaround times and manage multiple tasks and project details.
- Desire to be hands-on; you enjoy tinkering and making.
- A positive attitude and capacity for thinking above and beyond the clients’ initial ask.
