Who we are looking for:
Wunderman Thompson Budapest DevOps Engineer helps to build functional systems that improve customer experience, speed up automatized testing and deployment. They recognize, fix issues as fast as possible, and they make the development and testing flow more effective.
The DevOps Engineer's responsibilities include setting up CI/CD workflows, supporting product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer and developer needs. Ultimately, they will execute and automate operational processes fast, accurately and securely. Supporting development teams directly and increasing effectivity is also in their focus.
What you’ll do:
- Implement integrations requested by developers / customers
- Manage AWS / Azure / Google and other cloud services and instances
- Define, document and manage networking topologies
- Plan and set up deployment workflows with various tools recommended by the project / client
- Plan and setting up development environments with the required tools
- Implement integrations requested by customers
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
- Plan and build decentralized logging services supporting environment specific issues and debugging
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Do proper self-testing on the set up CI / CD flows
- Take part of the release management tasks
- Plan ahead and mitigate technical risk on the projects
- Support development team members and share technical knowledge
- Act as a technical person in client communications
What you’ll need:
- Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- Working knowledge of Linux, Windows administration, Azure / AWS / Google Cloud, CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Octopus, etc.), databases and SQL
- Experience with server and application container technologies and schedulers
- Experience in version control and continuous integration and deployment systems
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python or other
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bonus for Azure or other cloud platform knowledge, Microsoft certifications.
- Security focus (communication channels, storage, user input and response handling) on application, architecture and on infrastructure level.
