Digital Officer for Wunderman Thompson (internally at Stichting Tegen Kanker)

Actively fighting cancer: it’s what drives the Foundation Against Cancer every day since 1922. At a national level, we are one of the largest and most important organizations in this domain. Our main priority is financially supporting scientific cancer research. In addition, medical and social support for cancer patients and their loved ones, prevention and detection and information are all also very important. This is why we’re looking for people who want to promote the ideals and objectives of the Foundation against Cancer.

Cancer will affect an increasing number of people in the future due to various factors, including our ageing population. To help society deal with this phenomenon, the Anti-Cancer Foundation needs to intensify its activities to keep the general public informed. This is why we are strengthening our “Marketing & Communication” department and are looking for a new Digital Officer.

Who we’re looking for

You implement the digital editorial plan and coordinate and manage our digital campaigns. You ensure coherence, you check the reliability of the source to ensure that the result is in line with the quality requirements, the mission and the values of the Foundation against Cancer. You are a “digital native” and you have a feel for language.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for Community Management. This involves implementing the social media editorial plan, following the strategy, values ​​and action plan, and disseminating it through different channels.
  • You ensure the follow-up and the operational management of the various campaigns with the agency. You can devise and implement small campaigns yourself.
  • The follow-up and operational management of the various campaigns with the agency are also closely followed by you.
  • Together with internal or external experts, you ensure that the information on our website is updated annually and that the quality remains high. You constantly monitor the optimization of our website, both in terms of SEO and technically.
  • Together with other departments, you create new content that is relevant to our target audience.
  • In addition, you also determine the content of the monthly newsletter together with various colleagues.
  • You take care of Dutch copywriting for all communication.


  • You are a real storyteller: you write in a structured way and master the specific writing techniques needed for websites and social media.
  • You master the following tools: CSM, Pardot, SEO, Instagram, Facebook, Linked-In, Youtube, Canva, ...
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, in a bilingual work environment.
  • Dutch is your native language and you have a good command of French.
