What will you be doing?
We’re on the hunt for a superstar Account Director.
You’ll be a huge part of a small inter-disciplinary squad – working with one of our biggest and bravest brands - BT.
You’ll primarily work on the Acquisition part of the BT account – responsible for generating demand and acquiring new customers. So, you’ll need to know your data and direct response and your CPAs from your CPPs. Although we create for a variety of channels (from outdoor to door drop) – direct mail is a fundamental part of what we do – so experience here is preferred but not essential. But an appetite to learn quickly is.
You’ll be working on the Demand Generation division one of world’s leading telecommunications companies to increase their sales QoQ by creating best-in class campaigns and programmes
Our client has big ambitions. You’ll be leading projects that include a range of channels, that are data and audience driven. Your main focus will be on how CRM channel can support their wider marketing objectives and campaigns. You’ll put the customer front and centre of everything you do. You’ll talk their language and be expected to understand the client’s business, industry and inspire them with in and out of category thinking.
This role requires a strong passion to deliver award-winning work, dedication to the job and the ability to manage multiple clients while leading a number of projects – often at pace. You’ll be a team player and have the leadership skills to get the best out of your team and the gravitas to build unshakeable relationships with clients. You will have a good understanding of delivery and creative outputs.
In the role, you’ll report to a Business Director, and work closely with them to drive the strategic thinking and implementation for this best-in-class audience focused campaigns.
You’ll manage a team of two Account Managers but be the lynchpin that holds the whole team together. You’ll be empowered to lead – your clients and your team – so we’re looking for a trusted adviser, not just a happy helper. Always on the front foot, you’ll be relentless in your pursuit of deeper knowledge, better ways of working and, most importantly, better work. You’ll be rigorous in your attention to detail, developing an almost forensic level of detail on your clients, their business and our capabilities. You’ll work closely with the Business Director to develop and implement account strategy and drive the account forward – commercially and creatively.
Who are you?
- You'll be a champion of the work and the team – internally and with clients
- You'll be able to own the account finances – from estimates to scopes and foreacasting
- You'll oversee simple projects and leading multi-faceted and complex campaigns – from conception to activation
- You'll have a good understanding of the role of channel, specifically direct mail and email
- You'll have a strong grasp of data, analytics and reporting – especially in the context of campaign and media performance (i.e. econometrics)
- You'll have experience working with media agencies, including on joint responses
- You'll have a track record of delivering and exceeding targets for your clients
- You'll ideally have experience of direct mail and email
- You'll manage scopes and feeding into forecasting
- You'll work closely with the data team on planning, testing, reporting and optimizing programmes
- You'll nurture and upskill the wider team, with a big emphasis on data
