What you’ll be doing:

As New Business Manager, you will be a key player in driving pitches, business development initiatives and delivering growth and supporting the new business process from end to end. Shortlisted for Campaign and the BD100’s New Business teams of the year, you will be joining a high performing, progressive and fun team. The attitude and approach of the New Business Manager is, in many ways, as important as the experience and skills they possess – as the department is the heartbeat of our agency. You will need to be a self-starter and be prepared to interface with all departments in the agency to gather the support required as well safeguard our approach to ensure we meet our ambitious business objectives. The right candidate will need to possess bags of energy and drive and demonstrate a passion for developing the agency and new business. Outstanding organisational skills are an absolute essential – as are forward planning and attention to detail. The ability to manage complex workloads and absolute adherence to deadlines are key.

Success in this role will be determined by achieving individual KPIs which align to department targets related to revenue, profitability, brand perception and awareness, as well as senior stakeholder satisfaction.   • Pitch support- You will support the Associate Director, New Business and Head of New Business & Marketing to drive pitches and support the execution of the new business strategy. You will be expected to lead and manage the completion of the new business process from RFI, RFP, chemistry, tissue and final pitch. This includes qualification, investment, briefing packs/desk research, workstreams and timelines, involving Group partners, ensuring core team stand ups happen and daily update emails are sent, rehearsals take place, pitch theatre and collateral is managed, washups and contact strategies are in place until a decision is reached. Take a strategic role in reviewing the content and ensuring we are answering the brief and adding value and have a clear USP. Working with all departments such as strategy, creative and finance you will ensure the milestones agreed are met, as well as managing the agreed budget for each lead. You will be responsible for ensuring we capitalize on internal resources to power our responses, such as insights and research and deliver a 360 approach from collateral and pitch theatre to developing a contact strategy until a final decision has been made.
  • New business toolkit: with a dedicated focus on new business, you will work closely with the Associate Director to continually develop our new business toolkit to help facilitate a more efficient new business process. As part of this you will own and manage our tender library and case study library repository for all pitch collateral.
  • Reporting: you will be responsible for ensuring the new business team is a well-oiled machine. Responsible for the new business status and pipeline reporting, ensuring we have up to date new business reports for to share with senior stakeholders within Wunderman Thompson and WPP. Databases will be updated each week to track the stage we are at with each live opportunity across new business and incumbent briefs. You will also be required to keep track of wins, loses and declines and subsequent conversion rates. The data will be used to inform a year end new business report with you will play a significant role in creating.
  • Intermediary platforms – you will be responsible for managing and updating all intermediary platforms to ensure we have an inspiring shop window.
