Who we’re looking for:

Wunderman Thompson Apps is seeking a iOS Technology Lead is responsible for leading the entire iOS development effort on a project.

The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge and experience in iOS development, including implementing iOS development best practices, defining code architecture, implementing processes, and applying advanced debugging techniques.

This position also requires strong leadership qualities, including an ability to clarify team roles within a project, delegate development tasks to other team members, and oversee delivery of releases. As an iOS Technology Lead, you’ll be overseeing and mentoring other iOS developers at a variety of skill levels.

The most successful individual in this position will be one who can implement technical solutions, oversee an internal development team, interface with other disciplines within the organization, and communicate effectively with clients.

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop | Write code that is consistent and clean both in formatting style and design with current iOS coding practices.  Review code for your peers.
  • Collaborate | Work with a team of developers, designers, business analysts, QA, and project management to produce high-quality projects for large brands that you know and use. 
  • Deliver | Ship releases to users regularly and see your work go live early and often.
  • Plan | Participate in planning for the future of your project, including estimating, scoping, and helping build a feature roadmap with your team and clients.
  • Mentor | Mentor developers and associate developers on your team and help them grow.
  • Influence | Grow the iOS development craft, define best practices, and build processes that can be shared across multiple teams.

What you’ll need: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an iOS Developer.
  • Deep experience with Swift and an effective familiarity with Objective-C.
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Charles Proxy, and Postman.
  • BA/BS degree with a technology-related major or equivalent experience.
  • Able to provide direction to other developers up to the Senior level.
  • Able to evaluate technologies brought forward from clients.
  • Able to advocate for scope of work and resource needs.
  • Able to assist peers in project troubleshooting.
  • Ability to estimate upcoming scopes of work.

Additional desirable skills:  

  • Experience mentoring developers
