Who we are looking for: 

Wunderman Thompson is looking for an Account Director to lead the team developing customer-driven marketing for an automotive client. Reporting to the EVP, Managing Director, you will oversee the strategic development and deployment of integrated campaigns and promote incremental growth. There will also be opportunity to expand your portfolio across additional verticals.

What you’ll do: 

  • Client | Become a trusted advisor for your client. Know their business and competitive landscape and champion the work. Provide strategic insights.
  • Team | Work with strategists, creative and production teams to create engaging and impactful work. Collaborate to develop briefs. Direct and guide your team to ensure campaigns run smoothly and enter the market on time and on budget. Oversee and motivate direct reports.
  • Process | Oversee the daily operations of the account. Manage the financial health of your account.

What you’ll need: 

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience; experience working in a creative/digital agency an asset.
  • 1+ years of experience managing direct reports.
  • Integrated advertising experience with an emphasis on digital communications and email & website marketing.
  • Experience building partnerships and positively influencing team members and clients.
  • Skillful at crafting and presenting compelling points of view to support ideas, concepts and strategic direction to clients.
  • Knowledge of automotive and retail experience an asset.
