Who we are looking for: 

Wunderman Thompson Atlanta is seeking a Research Coordinator for our longstanding client, the United States Marine Corps, to help guide a robust brand strategy research agenda for an ongoing contract with potential for permanent hire in 2022. You will collaborate with strategists, research partners, clients, and agency colleagues to develop and implement timelines, manage the document submission process, handle meeting logistics, and manage employees’ research training certification process.  

This can be a freelance or temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate. 

**This is a remote opportunity with option for future hybrid in-office working capability. Our office is currently operating in a remote capacity. We will not allow geography to be a barrier in hiring the right person.** 

What you’ll do:  

  • Manage | Provide day to day management of research efforts from initiation through fielding to reporting. Consistently problem solve to ensure a smooth project process and resolve schedule conflicts. Schedule and run internal status meetings.  
  • Communicate | Demonstrate consistent good judgment in choosing methods of communication that are most effective and efficient (e.g., team meetings, in person, phone, email). Provide critical project information on a regular basis via organized, structured, and simple communication to keep everyone up to date on the status of projects. 

Who you are:

  • Partner | Collaborate with the brand strategy team to uphold quality standards for all deliverables. Champion team processes and initiatives, including advocating and executing them, as well as assisting in ongoing process improvement. Review, provide feedback, and submit documents for the Institutional Review Board. Facilitate employees’ research training certification to maintain compliance.

What you'll need: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in research, preferably in academia, an agency environment, or research organization. 
  • Experience with or a basic understanding of the qualitative and quantitative research processes. 
  • Comfort in being a self-starter, able to work independently as well as collaboratively. 
  • Effective listening, planning, organization, and time management skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and deliver quality results. 
  • Proficiency in project management software, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  
  • A strong work ethic that includes a positive and get-the-job-done attitude. 
  • Openness and receptivity to constructive feedback. 
  • A growth mindset.
