Who we are looking for: 

Wunderman Thompson Health is seeking a Business Development Project Manager to join the team in our Washington, D.C. office. In partnership with the Business Development Manager, this role is responsible for setting and managing the new business pitch process and for supporting the pitch team to put the agency in position to win new business opportunities. He/she will take command of the RFI/RFP process, establish the pitch workflow and schedules, assemble the appropriate resources, and ensure the team is working in a clear cohesive direction to develop a winning response.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate  | Partner with discipline leads and business development manager to set the direction and approach of the RFI/RFP response, identify needs and resources.
  • Support | Work directly with pitch resources to coordinate and schedule research and interviews, briefings, work sessions, share outs, rehearsals, etc. Work directly with business development manager and finance to develop pricing and assumptions.
  • Manage  | Establish and manage the pitch process workflow to ensure outputs are managed effectively and contributors to the response have what they need when they need it. Document and distribute developments and updates, organize pitch materials.
  • Process  | Track the development and completion of the final pitch response (proposal, pricing, presentation, etc.) and the process required to get there.

Who you are:

  • Team Player  | Ability to work productively with multidisciplinary teams within the agency and the network. 
  • Organized  | Incredibly detail-oriented and able manage all aspects of the pitch process while working reactively and proactively equally as needed. 
  • Experienced | Proficient in setting and managing a process using project management tools and templates. 
  • Focused  | Ability to be productive and move quickly in a highly dynamic environment. 

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with project management with a focus on end-to-end process management - preferably in a healthcare agency new business setting, but not required.
  • Superior organization and planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to get things done.
