Summary: 

The Account Director ensures the smooth production of campaigns – from briefing designers and copywriters, to managing budgets and possibly a team of executives.

The Account Director will be primarily responsible for the management of relationships with clients.  As the senior point of contact, the Account Director also co-ordinates the resources as needed to service projects, build strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work.

Often they will be expected to plan campaigns, and successfully develop business accounts creatively and financially, while playing a positive role in your agency’s new business programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking a lead in clients’ marketing and advertising strategies
  • Leading a team to provide the utmost level of client service
  • Liaising with clients at a senior level on a day-to-day basis
  • Promoting the expansion of business with existing clients
  • Working with other senior managers to generate new accounts
  • Completing projects to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget
  • Using your skills to push clients, and the agency, creatively and strategically

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of online strategy, marketing, media concepts and branding.
  • Strong understanding of measurement and tracking tools within all digital channels.
  • Experience with Brand websites, SEO/SEM, email campaigns and mobile marketing
  • The ability to plan and strategize at a senior level
  • A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
  • Dynamic leadership, management and team building skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
  • Experience with global businesses, preferably with clients in technology fields (broadly based).
  • Strong client facing skills.
  • Successful track record managing multiple client assignments.
  • Sound qualitative & quantitative analytical skills
  • Excellent business development and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of all agency functional areas; including production, media, research and database.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Agency or internet professional services experience
  • 2 years in a similar role with total of 5 to 7 years experience working handling reputable FMCG, Retail, and Tech brands.
  • Experience with direct marketing, relationship marketing and CRM within an integrated marketing perspective preferred.
