Who we are looking for: 

Wunderman Thompson MSC is seeking a high-impact, experienced client and business development lead, responsible for managing and growing some of our existing global clients as well as supporting new business opportunities within the region. This role will also play a key part in the successful onboarding of new clients into our complex global ecosystem.

Ideally, you have a solid combination of a proven track record managing and growing existing client relationships, as well as supporting and leading pitches and NB activities and are expertly versed in global content operations.

You are an Entrepreneurial minded individual, with high energy; strong motivation to sell and excellent sales, presentation and relationship skills.

You will manage all aspects of the client engagement including, the delivery of all production engagements through our production hubs, to deliver on client requirements as well as proactively seeking new business opportunities and expanded client relationships.

Within this role you would assume a critical position in the Wunderman Thompson MSC operation, providing an amazing opportunity to join a company in the forefront of one of the fastest growing industries. You would report directly to our Chief Client Officer located in our Boston offices.

What you’ll do:

  • Client Management | You will be responsible for managing our global clients’ relationships and be in charge of overall client satisfaction, supporting and coordinating our hubs teams worldwide in charge of delivering the work, serve as escalation and resolution point, managing overall client revenue, drive business development by identifying and targeting growth opportunities and activities to expand Wunderman Thompson MSC footprint within those clients.
  • Lead and Liaise | You will support Wunderman Production, direct NB activities by leading pitches, RFP submissions and Business development presentations of existing clients and new business opportunities. Liaise with all NA Wunderman Thompson offices supporting overall NB activities from the production point of view, providing content, cases, presentations, quotes and rates.
  • Onboarding | You will successfully onboard new clients into a steady state operation and partner with the Delivery Lead to implement proper infrastructure, process, and employee support systems. 

Who you are:

  • Client Advocate | You will fully represent and embed the client’s Interest in the day-to-day operations of our business. You would work to establish operational and performance goals; monitor performance of Wunderman Thompson Production to ensure we are meeting their KPI’s.  You would be the escalation point for our clients in resolving issues while successfully mapping the client organization and creating a plan for building multi-tier relationships.
  • Operational/Production Manager | You will work hand in hand with our offshore production hubs to ensure their delivery meets or exceeds client expectations. You would be the production trusted advisor for all Wunderman NA offices liaising with the key production leads in each office in NA.
  • Business Developer | You will present Wunderman Production cases and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders; lead and organize RFP answers, from strategy, content coordination, actual proposal, answers and actual submission. You prepare client’s specific revenue growth plans to identify and target growth opportunities as well as participate in NB calls with the NA offices.

What you’ll need:

  • 8-10+ years’ experience running client accounts with a significant amount of that time in the healthcare/pharmaceutical marketing production space
  • 5+ years’ experience developing and growing high-touch client relationships.
  • 2+ years’ experience in managing outsourced production in a global environment.
  • Proven expertise and track record on growing existing clients including finding and developing new opportunities.
  • Experience in managing large global clients with outsourced production in a global environment.
  • Proven expertise and track record on growing existing clients including finding and developing new opportunities.
  • Broad knowledge and expertise on managing fortune 500 clients in a wide variety of industries.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and influential communication skills are critical.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources to various and dynamic initiatives.
  • Maintain a sustainable balance between enterprise needs and that of specific business groups.
  • Develop scope of work, including scope definition, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Technical understanding of production advantages.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • Flexibility of work hours due to the global nature of the business, including late night and early morning meetings as necessary.
  • Availability to travel within the US and less frequent to Europe, and to the Wunderman Thompson MSC Hubs.
