Who we are looking for:  

Wunderman Thompson is a seeking a Senior Social Strategist to join our team. The social media strategist will blend strategic thinking, channel, and platform expertise, and enterprise organizational savvy to produce social and content strategies that work. In this role, you will have the ability to juggle existing client work with pitching and onboarding new business, so skill and experience at making the most of tight deadlines is critical. You will be a leader on projects and accounts so comfort with maximizing staff, mentoring and coaching is important. You should have strong a track record of winning social and content work with enterprise clients and enthusiasm for helping our content and social teams work smarter, not harder. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Collaborate | Work collaboratively with partners across the organization and with clients to support creative briefs and other strategic and planning deliverables. 
  • Cut Through the Noise | Develop content and channel strategy, communication cadences, editorial calendars, content ecosystem maps, conversion and micro-conversion plans, and other planning and presentation documents in support of rolling out world-class content. 
  • Be an Expert | Maintain an extensive base of industry, retailer, brand, category and competitive knowledge. Key emphasis will be on building relationships directly with client partners. 
  • Inspire | Create a business culture that motivates your cross-functional team to perform at the highest level.

What You’ll Need: 

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience working in social media, ideally in a strategic role (beyond community management or social production.  
  • An understanding of how technology solutions are implemented today.  
  • Strong familiarity and comfort with digital strategy/media analytics and aligning strategies with business needs across all channels. 
  • Deep appreciation for brand experiences, the process to make those experiences come to life and the technology platforms needed to build those experiences. 
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology, campaign development, research design, digital experiences and data & analytics. 
  • Experience developing platform-agnostic social strategies, and with channel thinking beyond Facebook and Twitter.
