ABOUT THE ROLE:  

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will oversee three business entities and be involved in the preparation of all journal entries, account analysis, entry into reporting package (Cartesis) related to relevant business entities.  The role will also support and assist the Controllers Organization team with ad hoc items.  This position will also assist in monitoring and following up to help facilitate the timely processing of invoices, expense reports, payments and inquiries. 

What you’ll do:

  • Month-end close | Assist in the completion of month-end close; prepare monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary.
  • Cartesis | Enter relevant information into Cartesis reporting package. Provide comparative analysis on financial results. 
  • Accounts Receivables | Review cash application of Accounts Receivables. Prepare allocation entries for telephone, medical insurance, etc. 
  • Audits | Assist in gathering required documentation for Audits (SOX, internal, sales tax).

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Communication | Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
  • Independent | Ability to operate independently and proactively through change or uncertainty, and capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Organized | Strong organizational skills required.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 3-5 years of general accounting experience.
  • Microsoft Excel skills at intermediate to advance level (linking, pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.).
  • Experience with JDE or Cartesis would be useful, but not absolutely required.
  • Bachelor of Science/Business Administration in Accounting a plus.
  • Certified public account (CPA) or certified management account (CMA) a plus.
