Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson is seeking a savvy data whiz with a passion for systems expertise, operational efficiency, and data optimization to join our Operations team. The Operations Reporting and Analysis Analyst role owns all reporting for their clients’ business, builds and supports the administration and data quality of reporting systems, and provides key business insights as it relates to the business. The Operations team prides itself in bringing order to the wild world of an advertising agency.

What you’ll do: 

  • Process | Prepare and manage regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards using Excel, Power Query, and Power Pivot that identify and communicate the health of the business including any areas of concern to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Optimize | Monitor and maintain system data quality, resolving root causes of anomalies. Support business processes to ensure effective and efficient operations, assist in internal and external audits, and perform other responsibilities as required.
  • Collaborate | Partner across disciplines with finance, account, project and resource management teams to ensure data accuracy and actionable reporting.
  • Analyze | Give visibility into financial variance to budget and resource utilization performance of client accounts to enable informed business decisions at the program level.
  • Recommend | Create business recommendations to operations, finance and project management leadership by synthesizing data, analyzing business trends, and developing forecast models as they relate to key KPIs. Present business recommendations clearly and effectively to key business leads.

What you’ll need: 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial, data, program management or business analyst role; has the aptitude to be successful in any of these areas.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Data modeling and query experience is preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems, such as Workday, is preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Ability to distill complex information and data into simple, actionable business insights.
  • Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Resourcefulness, self-management skills and self-starter attitude highly valued.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance or equivalent quantitative experience is preferred.
