Who we are looking for:
We are looking for people who are very inquisitive, open minded and determined team players who are striving to kick off their career with a wider perspective while deep diving in the core disciplines that will help you succeed. You will be able to ensure excellent commitment and professionalism while keeping positive attitude. Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory.
What you will be doing:
You will join the Academy on a 3-year apprentice programme. You will rotate through 3 key areas of our business for the first 18 months (6 months each department) and then you will land in the Creative Team as a Junior Creative for the last 18 months of the programme.
What you’ll do in the Data Team
Insight and Effectiveness sit at the heart of what Wunderman Thompson does. We work with all teams and all clients across Wunderman Thompson to get them the insights they need to do their jobs, whether that is helping with a new brand strategy or designing new experiences.
Understanding the customer and the brand is always key. We also run some more pure data projects, involving marketing automation strategies and implementations, business case design, and advanced data analysis or modelling.
During your Data rotation with, you will gain experience and exposure to:
- Sourcing & Analysing Data from various clients
- Result interpretation and algorithm fine tuning (working with a data scientist to understand the results they have)
- Generating Insights from Data
- Presenting Results in a business perspective
What you’ll do in the Service Design Team
Our Service Design team understand contexts and investigates people’s lives to gain insights into their pain points, gains, life goals, behaviour trigger to act and needs. We use these insights to identify new opportunities and design business solutions, services, business models and value propositions, allowing our clients to increase sales and customer loyalty by developing new channels, augmenting the customer base, and building valuable relationships.
During your Service Design rotation, you will gain experience and exposure to:
- Qualitative Research
- Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas Mapping
- Facilitating Design Thinking Sessions such as Workshops
- User Persona and Customer Journey Design
- Use Cases Design
- UX/UI Design
What you’ll do in the Brand Planning Team
Brand building is an essential asset at Wunderman Thompson. We help ambitious companies boost the value of their offering by (products or services) designing and strengthening the power of their brands. From brand health status and company culture to consumer's cultural context behaviours, beliefs, and attitudes. We constantly study the forces that shape our brands to identify opportunities and gather insights that will fuel our strategies and creative briefs.
During your Brand Planning rotation, you will gain experience and exposure to:
- Qualitative and Quantitative Research Techniques
- Competitor Analysis
- Insight Discovery and Formulation
- Brand Positioning Fundamentals
- Strategy Definition
- Creative Brief and Briefing
Your Landing Role as a Junior Creative
Once you have finished your first 18 months, you will join the Creative Team as a Junior 360 ° Creative. You will work in this team in a hybrid copy-art director role. You will have the opportunity to create and design concepts to write beautiful copy and use the Adobe Creative Suite.
You will be doing the following:
- Collaborating and maintaining positive relationships with the creative, strategic, data, service design and client service teams to develop creative ideas for assigned clients and new business to achieve branding and advertising initiatives.
- Works closely with senior copywriters and senior art directors to ensure the best results.
- Work on client briefs and proactive ideation sessions
- Build and design communication and\or business platforms for clients and prospects.
- Assist in the presentation and brainstorming sessions with creatives, planners, and tech-colleagues
