Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a VP, People for Wunderman Thompson Studios capability. This is an exciting opportunity to be a catalyst for innovation, driving new ways to advance the employee experience for our global workforce. This role will partner closely with regional leadership across our global offices in alignment with our global Wunderman Thompson and WPP people strategies. As a VP, People, this role will build, lead, and roll-out large-scale employee programs and practices while promoting an inclusive and inspiring environment.  This role will report to the Global Chief Executive Officer of Wunderman Thompson Studios and the North American Chief People Office of Wunderman Thompson. 

What you’ll do:

Inspire & Motivate

  • Partner with global and regional talent teams on innovative staffing solutions to support high growth environment. And rapidly onboard global talent.
  • Ensure visibility, access and successful utilization of globally developed programs and initiatives (including performance management, learning & development, IE&D, system implementations, etc.)
  • Partner with the L&D Team to build a health specific training program to educate and elevate incoming talent by increasing their knowledge with the health industry to support a this rapidly growing pillar of our business.
  • Partner in the development and launch of a global employee communications initiatives for Wunderman Thompson Studios

Build Relationships & Promote Collaboration

  • Acts as a trusted, advisor and business partner to Global and Regional Wunderman Thompson Studios leadership.
  • Manage the US based People team and partner with COEs across Wunderman Thomspon North America.
  • Identify key players within WundermanThompson greater matrixed organization to strategically drive business forward.
  • Define and monitor People specific goals and metrics for our regional offices, to be reviewed quarterly
  • Partner with Regional People Leads on the execution of cyclical processes impacting Wunderman Thompson Studio employees such as annual compensation, performance management, succession management, and Employee Satisfaction Survey analysis and action planning.

Lead & Speak up

  • As a member of the Global Executive Committee, partner with leadership to identify and retain key talent across the Wunderman Thompson Studio teams globally.
  • Lead a global Wunderman Thompson Studios People committee to align People leadership across the globe on common goals, challenges, and the development of shared solutions.
  • Evaluate and refresh Wunderman Thompson Studio’s current employee offerings with a focus on enhancing the value messaging.
  • Serve as an ambassador and communicate an authentic, compelling employment brand that maximizes attraction and retention of talent.
  • Partner with global & local leadership to investigate and resolve people-related concerns that may arise across Wunderman Thompson Studios.

What you’ll need:

  • Leadership experience developing and leading complex, cross-functional HR solutions in large organizations
  • Experience working in complex matrix organizations.
  • Experience working in a digital or marketing/advertising agency preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items, driving them to completion.
  • Prior global experience.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: a servant leader who can roll-up their sleeves and wear multiple hats in order to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong presentation skills with effective messaging across varying audiences (internal executive teams, employee groups, client leadership, etc.)
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment and comfortable with quickly changing priorities.
  • Able to quickly establish credibility with internal partners, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Persuasive, proactive, strong presence, unpretentious, and unquestionable integrity.
