Who we are looking for:

Wunderman Thompson Seattle is seeking a Strategy Director with CRM experience to play a critical role on the dedicated client team for a well-established global brand. Working under the account's Director, Strategy and alongside the VP Account Director, Analytics Lead, and Group Creative Director, you’ll be responsible for growing and developing the strategy and inspiring the creative for digital CRM campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity to flex your digital, interactive, CRM, and CX skills. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker, highly collaborative, and a doer in the best sense of the word. You’ll also have an emphatic nature, be up on trends, and have an innate curiosity about consumer behavior. Ultimately, you’ll focus on executing strategy at the highest level and being part of a thriving piece of business. Most importantly, you must understand CRM best practices, and be able to communicate this knowledge with confidence, charisma, and humility, both inside and outside of the agency; providing guidance to our clients and inspiring our creative teams every step of the way.  From contact strategy to content strategy across the customer journey, you will be trusted and looked to as the expert on all things CRM and strategy.

What you’ll do

  • Lead | Command the (virtual for now) room in client meetings when discussing the challenges and opportunities of the day, building trust and confidence in how we think and support our client. Understand the key trends that drive audience behavior and affect the way that brands communicate – always living at the intersection of brands, culture, and creativity.
  • Uncover | Uncover novel insights and develop innovative communications and experience ideas. Constantly separate signals from noise in a large quantity of information and rapidly distill it for key stakeholders and creators. Share perspectives and recommendations clearly and persuasively (both orally and in written form), demonstrating a strong storytelling capability.
  • Guide | Develop strategic deliverables that include research synthesis, creative briefs, value propositions, messaging, prospect/audience journeys, competitive analysis, content strategy, and compelling brand positioning. Contribute business and technical knowledge related to client business, consumer behavior, and digital transformation.
  • Partner | Partner with Account Leadership to oversee the translation of our clients’ vision into a roadmap that will achieve client goals, while generating work that is creatively brilliant, measurable and has a cultural impact.
  • Collaborate | Work with the data, creative and account management teams to ensure all client deliverables are flawlessly executed and on strategy.

What you’ll need: 

  • 8-12 years of digital marketing strategy experience including experience at a digital creative agency.
  • Must have experience working on multi-channel CRM campaigns.
  • Have experience with other digital marketing channels such as paid social, display, search, video as well as owned channels such as websites, apps.
  • Experience working in telecom or high-tech/online services is a plus.
  • Hispanic marketing experience is a plus.
  • Mine provocative insights that form the basis of creative strategies and marketing plans.
  • Strong leadership skills and a history of partnering with senior clients to achieve business and marketing goals.
  • Able to fly at multiple altitudes, excelling at high-level conceptual strategy work and the nitty-gritty of strategic implementation. 
  • Understanding of available research and data resources, with the ability to apply the right method and tool to the right learning objective.
  • Proven track record of success across brand strategy, campaign planning, leading integrated agency teams, and developing multi-channel go-to-market plans.
  • Experience developing overall digital strategies as well as strategies for specific parts of the ecosystem, including website, email and mobile.
  • Experience partnering closely with cross-functional Creative, User Experience, Account, and Analytics teams.
  • Track record of working in collaborative, fast-paced environments, while navigating the demands to structure and process.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
