The Role

We are looking for an executive creative director who will be responsible for driving forward the creative approach, creative standards and output for our international business unit in the Benelux, across all clients, including a large focus on growth and new business. You will be working on global and regional scale with some A-list brands.

This role will form part of the leadership team of the international business unit. This individual will help define and lead the vision and strategy for the Wunderman Thompson Benelux international business unit by collaborating with the Benelux Executive Board and especially with the Benelux CCO support to focus on our mission of Inspiring Growth for Ambitious Brands.

How you’ll be spending your time

As the Executive Creative Director for the international business unit of Wunderman Thompson Benelux, you will be focused primarily on five key pillars:

Product

Inspiring best in class work and solutions:
Provide Creative leadership and rigor across the international business unit that ensures that the agency’s creative product exceeds the highest standards of innovation, creativity and executional excellence. The product and solutions we propose at Wunderman Thompson vary dramatically, from commerce to communications, from film to fin-tech solutions. The ability to combine creativity, technology and data is critical for us in creating a competitive advantage and growth for all of our clients. A proven track record of effective, award-winning and ground-breaking work is a must to be successful in this role. This includes executive leadership on relevant top clients for us across the region, both current and prospective.

People
Inspiring and motivating world class talent to join us, stay with us and grow themselves:
We demand an inspiring leader who creatives will flock to and both peers and clients will want to work alongside. Not only is the ECD in the international BU responsible for the creative approach and output, but you’re responsible – together with the Benelux CCO and the other ECD’s - for the quality of the creative talent within the region. Working with our Executive Board and creative leaders, you will focus on encouraging growth, mentorship and development in our people. Understanding the measures that matter are a crucial component of this ECD role. We believe in the power of growth; the growth of new business, the growth of our existing client’s success and the growth of our award wins. Understanding the difference between good and great is important but helping people reach the latter (‘great’) is imperative. The ECD will play a key role in setting benchmarks and inspiring the team of leaders around them to reach their potential in terms of the work and industry leading awards, while contributing meaningfully to the achievement of revenue, profitability, and all key performance metrics at an agency level as a core member of the Leadership Team of the international BU.
