Who we are looking for:
International Meetings and Science, a division of Wunderman Thompson, is seeking an Account Executive in our Stamford, CT office. The Account Executive (AE) proactively manages the project lifecycle for the company’s medical education client products or services for his/her assigned account(s). The AE is expected to have a full understanding and command of IMsci, Wunderman Thompson Health and WPP capabilities.
What you’ll do:
- Clients | Create and/or edit client presentations. Work directly with clients, as directed by management.
- Manage | Manage status report. Manage project lifecycle for multiple accounts including initiate job number, create and communicate status reports, schedule start up and status meetings including preparation of meeting materials, work with senior team member on budget, write up timelines and communicate with team daily, communicate with clients as directed, internal point of contact for projects, develop and track budgets, create, distribute and keep up to date the contact report(s), lead internal start up and status meetings. Prepare writer packages. Traffic jobs internally. Follow ACCME, HCC and OIG guidelines. Supervise the Junior Account Executive, as needed.
- Support | Alert management of potential missed deadlines, and cost/budget overruns.
Who you are:
- Leader | Our team is close-knit and supportive, and we’re working with a lot of unknowns – you must champion team environments that are comfortable and encouraging.
- Problem solver | Ensure quality control by reviewing agency products including: creative work, key client communications, key schedules, creative strategies, and strategic decks. Assist with day-to-day problem-solving by providing guidance to freelancers and raise issues and solutions to senior team. Dig in and figure out how to work around problems.
- Ego-less | We all wear the hats that need wearing, it’s a mentality that makes the team successful.
What You’ll Need:
- 2-3 years of medical education experience.
- Demonstrated experience in working as part of a fast-paced team in the medical education industry.
- Established and demonstrated organization, ownership, time management, communication, negotiation, attention to detail, customer focus and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate level Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word required.
