As our Media Intern, you’ll support the Media team in the management of our Wunderman Thompson Health clients as we deliver omni-channel marketing campaigns. At WTH:KC, you’ll be inspired through mentorship, collaboration and real world assignments that have a direct impact on our clients’ business. As a Media Intern, you will be asked to:
- Act as liaison between media vendors and agency, gathering necessary campaign paperwork such as signed orders, missing invoices, data, RFPs, new vendor forms and media kits
- Support Media Planners and Buyers in providing expert POVs to the client and Account Team as requested.
- Gather and organize campaign metrics for team analysis.
- Maintain virtual and/or physical media library of industry publications, reviewing for current and competitor ads.
- Accurately input media schedules into media software for order distribution.
- Collect final media expenditures across tactics for overall budget tracking.
- Support the development of presentation and client deliverable materials
- Attend internal WTH:KC meetings to stay informed of ongoing client needs and requirements
- Attend frequent developmental meetings with other interns from across the country where a variety of learning topics will be presented, along with the opportunity to gain exposure to senior management at multiple network agencies
- Participate in an intern team competition to develop a campaign to present to leadership at the conclusion of the internship
We’re looking for someone with the following knowledge and skills:
- Junior or Senior in school
- Marketing/Advertising/Business coursework and/or experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task, and effectively take direction in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Highly attentive to details
- Ability to work on a PC platform with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
