As an intern on the Strategy team, your primary focus and project will be to participate in building campaign briefs and engagement plans for multiple lines of business, gathering and assessing data as well as developing insights to help guide the business. You will contribute to the team's deliverables and bring value to our client stakeholders by solving business problems and driving growth. 

At WTH: KC, you’ll be inspired through mentorship, collaboration and real-world assignments that have a direct impact on our clients’ business needs. You will have the opportunity to develop briefs, conduct consumer research, assist on day-to-day activities as well as assist with campaign development. You will also be able to propose new processes that help to increase efficiency and reduce costs. While in the role, you will shadow our team of Strategists including those focused on Content, Brand Experience and Omnichannel Strategy. 

As a Strategy Account intern, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Support Strategy in the day-to-day tasks of managing several large campaigns
  • Synthesize data to determine improvements and recommendations across all Strategy projects
  • Contribute to foundational internal work from brief writing, implementing internal and external feedback into Creative briefs, and navigating internal team dynamics and implementing last-minute edits to our work
  • Gather and organize metrics for team and competitor analysis
  • Support the development of client presentations and WTH internal deliverables
  • Attend internal daily meetings to learn about all the moving parts of an advertising agency
    • Attend frequent developmental meetings with other interns from across the country where a variety of learning topics will be presented, along with the opportunity to gain exposure to senior management at multiple network agencies
    • Participate in an intern team competition to develop a campaign to present to leadership at the conclusion of the internship

We’re looking for someone with the following knowledge and skills: 

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in college or university focusing on Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or other relevant fields of study
  • Marketing/Advertising/Business coursework and/or experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, and effectively take direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfortable and disciplined enough to work fully remote
