The Wunderman Thompson Internship Program is designed to provide college students an opportunity to add that coveted career-related experience to your resume. Our program is paid, and in return, interns get to collaborate with an assigned supervisor/department leader and develop projects or work assignments tailored to your specific interests or learning objectives in relation to digital marketing.
Our Internship Program is part of our strategic goal to establish a culture that values and encourages the education and career growth of the next generation of creative & innovative leaders!
Who we are looking for:
Wunderman Thompson Health is seeking creatively minded, data-loving interns to join our team in our DC office. Our 10-week paid internship starts in June 2023 and will provide the opportunity to obtain unique experience at an award-winning agency. Interns will be placed across a variety of disciplines including (but not limited to): client services, strategy, project management, and creative. We’ll need you to commit to our program (June through August) in beautiful, sunny (and apologies, humid) Washington, DC.
Our program includes the following:
- An internship experience that combines your formal education with career-related experience.
- Opportunities to participate in departmental meetings, lunch & learns (free food!), and directly collaborate with project teams and marketing partners so you can really learn the marketing biz.
- Hands-on experience in that #agencylife marketing workflow and project management.
- Opportunities to build connections with marketing experts across our practices as well as other future marketing leaders like yourself.
Who you are:
- Passionate and curious | You are eager to learn about the advertising world and create work that exceeds expectations. Enthusiasm and strong listening skills are appreciated.
- Detail-oriented | Have an eye for detail and a creative kick. Proactive and eager to learn.
- Ego-less | We all wear the hats that need wearing, it’s a mentality that makes the team successful.
What you’ll need:
- Undergraduate and Masters graduates can apply.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Applicant must be able to work 40 hours per week during regular business hours throughout the 10-week Internship Program.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passionate about marketing and digital strategy, knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Highly collaborative; team player.
- Self-starter; able to juggle multiple projects at once.
- Must complete both prompts below (200 word maximum each).
