Who we're looking for:
We are looking for a Finance & Compliance Analyst to join our EMEA Regional Reporting team.
You will support the EMEA Regional Finance Reporting team, and the regional management for Wunderman Thompson EMEA. You will work with the finance teams across EMEA, helping to develop and maintain first class finance function that is able to deliver accurate and timely finance and management information.
The main objective of the role is to track, review and analyse all compliance and financial reporting activities across the region and ensure their timely and accurately submitted.
What you'll be doing:
- Compliance and financial technical reviews of market submissions. e.g. month end reporting, client profitability, corporate responsibility and other WPP reporting requirements.
- Working closely with Finance Analysts and Managers to ensure integrity of financial reporting and in accordance with WPP policies and IFRS.
- Review of all Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance submissions for accuracy and completeness and ensure timely submission.
- Support Controllers and Finance Manager’s with areas of the EMEA reporting and compliance process for the whole region. This will include areas such as Inter Company or Lease Accounting.
- Produce financial management reports for markets and senior members of the team.
- Support markets with their SOX compliance and ensure compliance at a regional level.
- Ad-hoc projects and tasks as requested.
What you'll need:
- Graduate with relevant degree (Accounting/Finance/ Business Administration, etc) or school leaver with a keen interest in finance, accounting and business.
- Up to 2 years of practical experience. We will provide full training so first jobbers will be considered.
- Good systems skills
- Aptitude for process improvement and automation
- Studying for global accounting qualification is a plus
- Fluent in English (written and oral) and other European languages will be an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills (Macro’s and Power BI is a plus)
- Careful attention to detail
- Ability to form strong relationships with colleagues
- Ability to learn quickly
