Who we're looking for:
We are looking for a Social Insight Lead to join our award winning Data Department at Wunderman Thompson. You need to be known for great storytelling and insight generation, and be passionate about delivering great work.
From a data point of view, the role requires someone with strong experience in social listening. You’ll be confident in working with data from social listening tools such as Netbase, Talkwalker, Audiense or similar. Further, you’ll have experience applying this data to projects on audience intelligence, category listening, influencer and trends analysis. Experience with tools such as Global Web Index, YouGov, SimilarWeb or Semrush is a bonus!
This role will be focused on delivering work across a range of Wunderman Thompson clients. The ideal candidate will have some experience in scoping and debriefing social listening projects, as well as managing more junior team members on these projects.
You need to be a self-starter, a great communicator and full of enthusiasm and keen to get involved in different tasks day-to-day. You will be an ambassador for the Data department working with our customer experience, user experience, data strategy, brand strategy and creative departments to inform business decisions.
What you'll be doing:
- Working with the Social Insights Manager to deliver the agency’s social listening and social media insight proposition.
- Delivering social insight projects end to end using our in house tools from proposals, through to boolean search setup, analysis, visualisation, interpretation and client presentation.
- Managing your projects to tight timelines, taking responsibility for managing the team working with you on projects.
- Contributing to the development of skills and knowledge of junior colleagues, building and sustaining a learning culture within the team.
- Learning new data skills and tools. Working with relevant experts to create new innovative multidisciplinary products for our clients spanning web analytics, social listening, search data, CRM data, qualitative and quantitative survey data.
- Working in close collaboration with data scientists, strategists, creatives, technologists and customer experience experts to deliver world-class data-led solutions.
- Supporting our Marketing Team, using social insights to fuel our monthly PR content calendar.
What you'll need:
- 3+ years experience working in social insights/social listening within the media or advertising industry or in-house.
- Experience using social listening tools such as Netbase, Talkwalker, Audiense or similar.
- Some experience in project management and scoping.
- A collaborative, confident team worker with experience over-sighting others
- An avid learner who loves to explore new data sources in pursuit of insight
- A strong presenter, with the ability to craft compelling stories from data.
- Data visualisation skills
- Excellent communication, organisational, numeracy, analysis, proposal writing and presentation skills.
Nice to have but not essential:
- Experience using Global Web Index, YouGov, Semrush or Similarweb
