Who we are looking for: 

We are looking for an innovative Solution Architect to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs. The solution architect’s responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams. You will need to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture.  

The Solution Architect will need to breakdown and explain complex problems to management. To succeed in this role, you will need to consult with senior business managers on application requirements, incorporate desired functionalities into application development plans, and supervise application development stages (technology stack: ReactJS, .Net, Sitecore, Cloud, MSSQL, MACH).  

What you'll do: 

Solution Level 

  • Lead | Work closely with the Product Manager and co-lead the Problem-Finding and Problem-Solving activities: usability, viability, and feasibility assessment. Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets. 

  • Build | Assess the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it. 

  • Ahead of the Curve | Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes were needed. Inform various stakeholders regarding problems with the current technical solutions being implemented and assess the business impact of technical choices/decisions. 

Application Level 

  • Communicate | Collaborate with senior managers to determine business-specific application needs. 

  • Build | Compile and implement product development plans for new or existing products. Demonstrate application prototypes and integrate user feedback. Write scripts and code for applications, as well as install and update applications. Run diagnostic tests and perform debugging procedures. Perform application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration. Document application development processes, procedures, and standards. 

  • Lead | Lead the product development team and supervising the design, testing, and modification stages. Mentor junior application developers and providing end-users with technical support. Integrate trends in application architecture and in application development projects.

What you'll need: 

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role. 

  • Previous project management experience is advantageous. 

  • In-depth understanding of coding languages, specifically .Net, ReactJS, Sitecore.  

  • In-depth understanding of MACH principles and design best practices: micro-services, API-first, cloud-native and headless.  

  • Knowledge and proven experience on system design considerations: scalability, performance, reliability, resiliency, decoupled architectures, etc. 

  • Sound knowledge of various technology stack components: databases, client-side frameworks (e.g., ReactJS), cloud platforms, etc. 

  • Efficient communication skills. 

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is preferred. 

 

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
