Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who is a chameleon, a go-getter and a problem solver. As part of the team, the Business Analyst will play a key role in maximizing the value delivered by the team and ensuring the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. The Business Analyst will be the primary link between business, user experience and technology strategy. To be successful in this role, you will need to work very closely with the Product Manager to ensure the team’s backlog is correctly prioritized and aligned to the larger Product and Program objectives.  

The Business Analyst will also help in developing whole-product solutions, ensuring the solution being developed addresses the full range of customer needs, and that all scenarios and possibilities are considered. With the Product Manager on the team will be outward focused (close to customers and defining what features are important and why), the Business Analyst will have a more inward focus. This role will define ‘the how’ and be the bridge between User Experience and Technology while defining Functional Specifications and helping groom the team backlog.  

What you’ll do: 

  • Analyze | Work closely with User Experience to guarantee complete and high-quality annotated wireframes are produced for the Technology team (CRTD - creative-to-development process). Assist the development team in answering business-level and requirements questions they may have. Analyze and document business processes and projects. 

  • Lead | Own the continual acceptance criteria for business value and user stories at the team-level. Own the backlog grooming and refinement tasks at the Team level - making sure the team backlogs do not become a black-hole. Actively participate in team-level ceremonies: grooming, retrospectives, defect management, etc. 

  • Collaborate | Assist in User Story creation, helping decompose program-level features into User Stories. Creation of Functional Specifications Documentation and Business Requirements Documentation.

What you’ll need: 

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.  

  • Deeply rooted in Agile, Lean, and continuous delivery principles that maximize flow of value with a passion to extend this understanding throughout the organization. 

  • Ability to be “hands on” when needed especially as it relates to problem solving and generation of business solution options. 

  • Ability to work closely with the team, including modeling and rapid prototyping in instances where complex business features require it for progressing further. 

  • Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team on customer-focused products and services. 

  • Significant industry knowledge and expertise within industry. 

  • Mastery in leading change and inspire others to change behaviors. 

  • Influencer in continuous learning and innovation. 

  • Experience working with cross functional teams Experience working with various teams simultaneously. 

  • Experience systematically analyzing problems, drawing relevant conclusions, and devising appropriate courses of action. 

 

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
