Summary:

The Account Manager ensures the smooth production of campaigns – from briefing designers and copywriters, to managing budgets and possibly a team of executives.

The Account Manager will be primarily responsible for the management of relationships with clients.  As the point of contact for an agency’s customers, the Account Manager also co-ordinates the resources needed to service projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work.

Often, they will be expected to plan campaigns, and successfully develop business accounts creatively and financially, while playing a positive role in your agency’s new business program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure smooth running of the day-to-day operations and ensure deadlines are met to achieve on-going client satisfaction.
  • To control and ensure that all output from the agency is of consistent quality to minimize mistakes that negatively impact agency profitability.
  • To assist the Account Director and contribute in the strategy development process to ensure sound advertising solutions are achieved.
  • To analyze and present competitive reports and budget reviews to senior agency personnel and client on a monthly basis to contribute to the strategic development process.
  • To maintain an effective relationship with client and agency personnel in a manner that straddles both operational and strategic contribution to ensure smooth running of the account.
  • To motivate and train the Account Executives

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Comprehensive understanding of online strategy, marketing, media concepts and branding.
  • Experience with Brand websites, email campaigns and mobile marketing
  • The ability to plan and strategize
  • A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects
  • Dynamic leadership, management and team building skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints
  • Experience with global businesses, preferably with clients in technology fields (broadly based).
  • Strong client facing skills.
  • Successful track record managing multiple client assignments.
  • Sound qualitative & quantitative analytical skills
  • Excellent business development and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of all agency functional areas; including production, media, research and database.
  • Excellent communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  BA/BS degree required
  • Agency or internet professional services experience
  • 1 year in a similar role. Total of 4 years with relevant experience in relevant product category.
  • Experience with direct marketing, relationship marketing and CRM within an integrated marketing perspective preferred.
