Who We Are Looking For: 

We are looking for a Boston based Studios Team Lead to manage all aspects of two of our fastest growing client engagements including delivery of all project engagements through our global production hubs (South Africa; Uruguay; Columbia and India) delivering on client requirements, and identifying any opportunities to expand client relationships.  

This is an amazing opportunity to join a company in the forefront of one of the fastest growing industries.  This role will work close with the Senior Director and is responsible for the overall coordination, execution, and control of production projects. Responsible for day-to-day activities with production hubs ensuring successful completion of projects. Their proximity to the global leads enables a strong accountability for ensuring consistency with project commitments and goals.  

The ideal candidate is a client relationship connoisseur and is passionate about creating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. They are driven individuals with a “get it done” attitude and a passion to solve complex business problems. This role demands a forward-thinking strategic leader who will oversee a large multi-disciplinary team serving both national and global clients. Will also play a key role in identifying new growth opportunities both within existing brands and agency new business efforts. Will be responsible for providing interdisciplinary team leadership, overseeing, and managing the business development staff. Also, will act as point of escalation for the creative marketing team and reconcile production differences with client concerns. In doing so, the candidate will foster strong partnerships with other projects leads, while overseeing projects, timelines, and planning. The account director will represent production in the eyes of the client, while educating clients and team members. Will take responsibility for all production relationships and processes globally, ensuring consistency with existing commitments and goals. Will actively cooperate with selected stakeholders from the client-side, Agency, account managers, and hub production teams to ensure all agreed work is delivered to the client in high quality and within agreed timelines. Needs to have excellent project management/communication and client management skills supported ideally by strong technical/digital & video background. Work as a strategic partner to identify opportunities for growth. More than just delivering the expected production materials, he must ensure all production runs effectively and efficiently.  

We seek someone who is a strategic, motivated, positive experienced multiteam manager with operational solid, production, and project management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. With experience managing and growing a team, within the corporate or Agency space. This person must be organized, adaptable and outstanding with client services and communication. Additionally, this person will help to identify day-to-day hurdles and address specific production needs and optimizations while providing support to large-scale production. The candidate will drive, implement, and lead the production process, solve problems, and prioritizes multiple and often competing priorities. Leads to drive operational excellence across multiple teams, projects, and priorities simultaneously. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Work as a strategic partner to identify opportunities and position Clients for growth.  

  • Represent the client's interests in the agency by defining a strategy or determining the right approach to achieve the results desired.  

  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative internal and external relationships, becoming the client’s go-to agency resource for all initiatives. 

  • Serve as the engagement architect, responsible for account production plans and strategies, and work directly with client to position the engagement for success. 

  • Be the client advocate - fully represent Clients’ interest in the day-to-day operations of our business and anticipate their needs. 

  • Serve as liaisons between WT Studios and the client, ensuring excellent customer service and client satisfaction.  

  • Have solid understanding of the direct marketing principles, project process flow and execution to ensure the ability to successfully measure and report on detailed digital marketing campaigns/ projects. 

  • Oversite & management production hubs (troubleshooting & addressing potential problems before they arise or become challenging to resolve) 

  • Utilizing knowledge of Global Production Ops to implement production plans. 

  • Mentor and lead the production team, helping build a culture of collaboration and creativity while assisting teammates in thinking through creative visions and production constraints.  

  • Manage existing production team members – Multi Hubs, as well as hiring and developing new video - digital team members. 

  • Overall management of the in-house production team across the full scope & Hubs. 

  • Develop accurate budgets and timelines and manage budget in partnership with and Finance by continuously reviewing financial performance at the top and bottom line, and successfully forecast against a project pipeline and guide decisions toward healthy agency profitability. Closely manage and track the agency SOW with clients and identify opportunities for incremental scope. 

  • Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients. 

  • Responsible for overseeing WT Studios’ relationship with its clients. 

  • Work hand-in-hand with the WT hubs to ensure their delivery meets or exceeds clients’ KPIs set out for the business. 

  • Responsible for achieving strategic goals and objectives of functional area by providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to managers and staff. 

  • Establish and maintain effective, ongoing, cross-functional communications with internal and external clients regarding client needs and production processes. - Acquire, analyze, and apply data, people and processes in the most efficient manner to ensure service delivery capabilities, and employees to support clients.  

  • Find creative ways to implement or deliver - improve the go-to-market strategy of our service offerings.  

  • Implement best practices across all departments under remit to have the most efficient and effective client services. 

  • Increase efficiency and effectiveness of business operations and client services - Partner with client stakeholders to optimize and reduce costs of staff on-boarding process, communication, content, and training 

  • Anticipate and proactively manage areas of customer and project risk (scope, budget, people, technology, quality, timeline, resources, communications)  

  • Develop the team by ensuring individual members continually grow their technical skill set and domain knowledge. Retain top team members and recruit new ones as we grow.  

  • Promote top quality communication, monitor, and report team metrics, and facilitate team professional development.  

  • Manage and report performance against agreed service levels.  

  • Work hand-in-hand with our offshore production hubs to ensure their delivery meets or exceeds client expectations. 

  • Ensure flawless service delivery to client according to agreed scope, SLAs and KPIs – even if delivered out of cross-client production teams. 

  • Work closely with Studios HUBS and other people involved in specific projects to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables. 

  • Work closely with the WT Studios Hubs to ensure that the requirements of all requests are clear and achievable. 

  • Working with Senior Director to establish operational and performance goals; monitor performance of Wunderman Production to ensure we are meeting client KPI’s. 

  • Actively work with provided team/client profitability reports and meet KPIs defined. 

  • Take ownership of Account finance – prepare regular monthly budget reporting files. 

  • Manage cost estimates for new/ad hoc projects or new additions to service portfolio – preparation, consultation with production hubs leads. 

  • Adhere to or initiate implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure accurate and on-time campaign delivery. 

  • Ensure proper usage of workflow tools by all teams working for given client (tool type depending on client). 

  • Resolve client issues, propose solutions, and escalate to the appropriate person to the point of resolution. 

  • Effectively communicate request expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. 

  • Clear communication with all stakeholders about project progress and action items. 

  • Proactive communication with manager in case of any development that could lead to issues with successful project delivery. 

  • Proactively identify opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies, engage the appropriate stakeholders prior to making any changes. 

  • Participate in all relevant communication/conf calls with the client and Hubs. 

  • Be on top/aware of all key projects/issues/changes happening in the team – set up and own meeting structure to support this.

  • Review request briefs for accuracy and follow-up with requestor for clarification as needed.

What You’ll Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Advertising/ business or a related field  

  • 7-10 years’ experience running client accounts and developing client relationships. 

  • Experience working as Production Manager, Production Lead, or another key managerial production position at a creative agency, media, entertainment, or production company.  

  • Global production experience with Offshore & nearshore hubs. 

  • Candidates must have a strong understanding and proven experience of all technical and organizational aspects of planning and executing video and digital production. 

  • Demonstrated track record of developing and growing client relationships and leading teams delivering end-to-end solutions. 

  • Passion for growing relationships and businesses. 

  • Proven experience with managing teams and client relationships in digital environment with the ability to deal with client relationship or internal team operations issues. 

  • Knowledge of web environments and development, digital production environment or technical background related to digital media production is a big plus. 

  • Ability to lead teams looking after multiple unrelated workstreams simultaneously. 

  • Strong background on production, defining where production needs to be done and overseeing the production process either in digital or studio.  

  • Proven leadership skills: several years of experience with managing teams and client relationships in a digital environment 

  • Project management skills or equivalent - knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management, knowledge of project management techniques 

  • Understand how and when to make a choice, how and when to escalate issues to higher levels and be able to analyze the risks and future impact of decisions.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and influential communication skills are critical. 

  • Prioritize and allocate resources to various and dynamic initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. 

  • Strong writing, presentation, and client-facing communication skills with proficiency in MS Office products. 

  • Self-driven and able to manage and prioritize workload for self and teams. 

  • Ability to manage with senior stakeholders. 

  • Strong sense of initiative, ability to act as an independent leader. 

  • Excellent multi-tasking, networking, time management and interpersonal skills. 

  • Team player and able to flex within structure. 

  • Flexibility of work hours due to the global nature of the business, including late night and early morning meetings as necessary. 

  • Availability to travel within the US and to the Wunderman Production Hubs.
