Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Senior Copywriter for our Seattle office for one of our rapidly growing lines of business. Are you a natural leader with a gift for words who loves to present to clients and defend your work? Do you geek out on concepting headlines and subject lines (and of course body content) that turn heads and make people click? Are you a stickler for details (and perfect grammar) who can also help keep the entire team focused on the big picture? Then come help us build some amazing content for one of the world’s leading tech brands.

The Senior Copywriter serves as a partner to other creative leads and strategy leads on the account. Together, they collaborate on messaging frameworks and deliverables, and mentor more junior writers on the team. Besides being a fantastic marketing and content writer, the ideal candidate is flexible, efficient, highly detailed, able to manage others, and deadline-driven. They have a keen understanding of the type of content that fulfills on business objectives and client expectations. Every good idea comes down to the right messaging, and that responsibility falls largely on the shoulders of the Senior Copywriter.

What you'll do:

  • Persuade | Write convincingly within an established brand voice across a variety of marketing materials including web, email, social, banner ads, video scripts, and more.
  • Juggle | Oversee several projects or campaigns at a time, while mentoring others.
  • Collaborate| Work easily with other team leads to execute flawlessly and meet deadlines.
  • Energize | Bring excitement to the project with your leadership experience and expertly crafted words and perspectives.

What you'll need:

  • 3-5 years of copywriting experience for major brands.
  • Online portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conceptual and strategic thinker, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of content and emerging technologies.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Experience writing for a tech brand a plus. 
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
