The role

We are looking for an ambitious video editor to join our rapidly expanding team. Someone who wants to push the boundaries of their own creative, create stunning work with compelling story telling at its heart. Working with our incredibly talented in-house team made up of multi-disciplined editors, you’ll never shy away from a challenge, with a solutions based mindset.

A proactive multitasker; the ideal candidate will be multi-disciplined and comfortable working on a wide range of briefs with a positive can- do attitude. Having excellent communication skills to keep everyone informed as you scale the dizzy heights of the timeline. For this position, we’d like someone with experience cutting a variety of edits. Ideally, these would include: branded content, commercials, case studies and mood films. Fluency in Premiere and After Effects are must haves.

On occasion we need things filmed internally, so a bonus skill would be someone who has some filming experience.

We are looking for a confident personality that can get under the skin of our values, will uphold our high standards, and help push us into new areas of the post-production realm.

In this hands on keyboard role, you will be crafting compelling stories across social, digital, branded content, commercials, case studies and mood films. At times there will also be broadcast work, cut downs and revisioning. You’ll be handling edits at various stages in their life cycle, from footage research to assembling edits, through to amendments, QC’ing our broadcast deliverables and archiving.

As a bonus, you’d know your way around a camera being able to film the odd impromptu event around the office or know how to set up an interview.

Ensuring you complete your work to the highest of standards, and maintaining the “in it together” spirit; checking in with the team and often seeing where you can help if you are available, will be imperative in your day to day life at Wunderman Thompson.

Working with the wider team as well as our trusted third party production partners and freelancers. Working for a diverse client roster including Avon, Shell, Duracell, First Direct, HSBC, Nestle and many more.

Who we are looking for

  • Someone with 3-5+ years experience working within Post-Production, be it at an agency or production house.
  • Complete fluency in Premiere Pro, with the additional understanding of colour (Lumetri), sound design, and mixing/mastering.
  • A good level of fluency in After Effects, someone who can bring their own flare in motion design, type animation and the complexity of tracking and compositing.
  • Being super organised, and an expert in managing your own time, prioritising deliverables when things get hot to handle. With proactiveness at your heart in downtime you find yourself creating, tinkering and rendering out some truly cool pieces of work.
  • You’ll have a wealth of knowledge in technical specifications and the processes of the post-production. You can whizz through complex file structures with ease and love to data wrangle, ingest, transcode and conform. You’ve never, ever, forgotten to clear your cache.
  • You’ll have an unwavering positive can-do attitude, with a collaborative edge. Unafraid to push your own creative bravery and others around you.
  • Bonus: A nice to have skill would be filming as we occasionally need someone to help set up press interviews, or film internal events in and around the office.
