Who we are looking for:
WT Commerce, Technology & Transformation is the business unit of Wunderman Thompson which brings together its wider offering with a focus to deliver growth through sales and marketing performance at scale. As we go from strength-to-strength, building out our global offering as well as aligning to a more partner alliance driven GTM strategy, we are looking for an Alliance Lead for our Salesforce offering globally – with a specific focus across EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
As a growth orientated role, the Alliance Lead our single point of contact for Salesforce and is there to ensure each of our office’s partners in the most strategic and efficient way across the globe with them. Their success is our success and vice versa so partnership is key to how we will grow together.
As the leader of the international Salesforce offering you will be required to interface with multiple business units and teams, whist ensuring we create a business plan that supports a global GTM. This role will play a key role in helping unified our Salesforce offering and subsequently win the most strategic accounts across the globe. The role will be highly visible throughout the organization, with touchpoints from the C-level to individual contributors across Salesforce, WPP and of course Wunderman Thompson.
What you'll be doing:
- Overall responsibility for the Salesforce partnership across the globe with sole ownership to drive the top line revenue growth with Salesforce.
- Development and execution of a global Salesforce strategy and joint business plan – covering enablement, partner status, marketing and alliances. A large focus will include helping shape and implement new business GTM strategies with relevant local markets, with an objective to meet defined revenue targets through the Salesforce partner channel.
- Manage partners and prioritize engagement opportunities to maximize impact on revenue targets while effectively managing partner expectation and future partnership potential.
- Responsible for budget, MDF/coop funds, forecast and report activities on a monthly and quarterly basis working towards an annual objective of revenues and margin targets across all Salesforce activities.
- Define, drive and launch new propositions and products in market that have been created in conjunction with Salesforce. Development on resalable packaged solutions that can be reused globally.
- Relationship building and stakeholder management with the senior Salesforce executive team to ensure on-going collaboration as well as ongoing partnership with the WPP Salesforce Alliance Team at WPP. This will include leading QBRs and ongoing internal reviews with relevant local teams.
- Working closely with the regional CTOs to develop and global enablement program in-line with the global Salesforce business plan and agreed Salesforce product roadmap. As well as developing an innovation strategy to support thought leadership.
- Working with the WT marketing teams to generate PR, awards, joint marketing initiatives as well as develop any sales collateral including, case studies to drive new business development targets. This will also include working on a joint event strategy from own hosted WT events through to Dreamforce.
- Close working relationship with BD leads and BD teams in market, to support and align their sales needs to the global strategy including, supporting ongoing sales and when required, draft RFI and RFP responses in conjunction with the specialist business development teams. And attend client pitches where required.
What success looks like in this role:
- Define and execute a global Salesforce business plan that aligns all markets.
- Within 2 years achieve double-digit top-line growth with Salesforce.
- Increased pipeline opps – size and scale.
- Top level partner status.
- Successfully increase Share-of-Wallet with Salesforce and also new Salesforce services that we previously haven't been used across WT.
- Improved engagement across the Salesforce partners including improved CSAT.
- Accurate and timely forecasting and reporting on Salesforce sales activities.
- Positive feedback from internal stakeholders and technology community on collaboration, communication and motivation abilities.
Who you are:
- A Senior Commercial Sales leader with proven track record of successfully selling and delivering digital business transformation projects with Salesforce, resulting in YoY growth of the portfolio.
- A minimum of 10 years of selling, commercial and strategic consulting experience within the digital industry domain – selling to IT, Operations and Sales, with a preference of 3 years global experience.
- Comes with and can demonstrate ability to build strong and meaningful enterprise client network at C-level within the technology partner sector.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, who thrives with a certain level of uncertainty and autonomy, yet manages to navigate among multiple stakeholders (internally and externally) to secure structured and successful sales opportunities.
- Personality and approach: Collaborative, positive, result driven, energetic, self-driven, ethical, emphatic, robust, daring, executional (can do - get things done attitude)
- Strong communication, motivational and active listening skills
- Culturally aligned with the Wunderman Thompson values, culture and guiding principles
- Fluent in both written and verbal English at negotiation level is required
- Comfortable with travelling if and when required but we would expect the ideal candidate to spend the proportion of the time with the client and potentially onsite at their location.
