Who we're looking for:
As an Junior Management Accountant you will be an ambassador for Finance and one of the first ports of call for the Agency for finance related queries. You should be a self-starter, with a professional attitude and full of enthusiasm. We are looking for someone who is competent in managing their workload to meet the Client and Agency deadlines, and also be willing to assist fellow colleagues during busy periods or covering team absences. Communication is key to this role - you’ll be working closely with the Finance team and the wider agency along with our shared service centre.
The person will be coming in to work as a part of the Financial Reporting team which is part of the wider Wunderman Thompson UK Finance team.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts for several of the Wunderman Thompson group companies including the preparation of manual journals, reviewing general ledger accounts, reconciling accounts
- Managing the setup and deactivation of users on the finance accounting system
- Assisting with freelancer timesheet input and cross checking the subsequent invoices are in line with the submitted timesheets
- Raising purchase orders for intercompany and trade vendor costs
- Preparing the month end management accounts file
- Reviewing and reconciling month end actuals reporting with supporting documentation
- Providing support to the wider Agency with various Finance functions such as new client setups
- Ensuring adherence to the SOX compliant control environment
- Assisting the Management Accounts team with ad-hoc tasks
What you'll need:
- Someone with Experience in a Finance function, preferably within an agency environment or similar
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and proactively manage workload to deliver multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Reasonable Excel skills
Nice to have but not essential:
- Experience with working on Maconomy Insight
