What we are looking for?

As a Planner at WT, it is your job to understand what it takes to help a client’s business succeed. We do this through a superior understanding of the business, the brand, the audience and the cultural context.

In your role on our global client, you will work with a combination of marketing clients, data experts, creatives, experience designers and management consultants from across the integrated agency.

We’ll expect you to be brilliant at the following:

  • Interpreting client briefs and creating inspiring and simple creative briefs.
  • Simplifying complex issues into simple, insightful pieces. This includes dense client or research documents, but also complex inputs that can be distilled to an insight.
  • Building good relationships with teams across the agency, demonstrating good strategic judgement and ensuring work is on brief.
  • Understanding the fundamentals of businesses, marketing, advertising, and brands.
  • Proactively inspire your account team and department with ideas and stimulus you’ve encountered in culture.
  • Presenting your strategies to your client / internal teams and generally persuading them.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the development of the global brand strategy for our client.
  • Work on global campaigns, delivering unexpected and inspiring creative strategy, shepherding the development from the brief through to the final execution.
  • Collaborate with Wunderman Thompson’s offices globally to deliver work on the global brand platform in local markets.
  • Develop global strategic toolkits and guidelines that are directional, single-minded and actionable for local markets to stay on brand.
  • Develop a deep-understanding of the client’s business, competition and consumer becoming the fount of all knowledge for both internal and client teams.
  • Identify opportunities to help grow our client’s business.
  • Contribute to the department, helping build a creative culture.

Who we're looking for

  • An ambitious, curious, and brave human
  • Someone who enjoys a good debate and collaborates towards a resolution
  • Great presentation skills (obviously)
  • A degree of some sort will help us understand your background and point of view
  • Someone that’s open-minded and had an interest in others cultures/ international outlook
  • Someone who is analytical and can turn various inputs into cohesive and inspiring narratives.
  • You’ll have a minimum of 2 years in the industry or roles where strategic thinking was required.

Nice to have but not essential:

  • A sense of humour
  • Collaborative spirit, willing to share your knowledge and wit with the team.
  • A pitch winning idea
  • Proactive ideas that we can share with client and the larger agency, to get the nation talking.
