Who we're looking for:
We are seeking a Global Commercial Analyst to join our Global Commercial team. As our Global Commercial Analyst at Wunderman Thompson, you'll support the broader Wunderman Thompson Global Commercial Team and be part of the wider Global Commercial community within WPP. Your contributions will involve promoting commercial excellence across WT capabilities and regions worldwide, enabling sustainable and profitable growth, developing reusable tools and pricing assets, and fostering harmonious collaboration with WPP and the Top 30 Client Global Client Leads/Commercial Partners. Identifying risks and opportunities for the best outcomes will also be part of your role.
In this role, you'll be central to our client-focused efforts, enjoying invaluable exposure to C-level stakeholders within a respected team in a newly launched commercial practice—an essential function.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the design of competitive pricing propositions for strategic pursuits, ensuring an appropriate WT commercial return, and managing key risks.
- Support the maintenance and establishment of standardised market rate cards in partnership with the wider WT business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships - develop and nurture relationships with market finance and commercial leads, new business teams, capability leads, and operation/delivery teams.
- Create clear analyses to support commercial storylines and enable decisions to be made, sometimes involving large amounts of complex data.
- Develop robust and accurate pricing templates for building our commercial proposals.
- Support the learning and development of the wider business in their use of tools and pricing assets.
- Support the development of materials for commercial trainings, as well as internal and external presentations.
- Handle ad hoc requests, such as coordinating the commercial proposals between regions to present a unified WT Global or WPP Global response to a pitch.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis, such as assessing rate cards across the T30 portfolio.
What you'll need:
- 3-5 years’ experience including some costing and pricing activities. Relevant industry experience a plus.
- High level of flexibility and ability to work under pressure with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
- High Excel proficiency – advanced formulas and functions.
- Power Query, PowerPivot and DAX experience a plus.
- Power BI Desktop experience a plus.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) preferable.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience in interacting with various stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in interacting with client/business development teams a plus.
- Fluent English speaker a must.
