Who we are looking for: 

Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Client Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for accurate budgeting and forecasting for client portfolios. In this role, you will ensure that all finance-related tasks (i.e., forecasting, budgeting, billing) are updated across all documentation with quality assurance and validation reviews as required. This role is responsible for working closely with client services, project management, and media teams in a fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Program Director.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate | Support Account, Operations, and Finance teams with client budgets, media forecasting, and communication with clients on budget and business-related projects and requests
  • Understand the work |
    • Daily – Track client budget and update media spending across all documentation.
    • Weekly - Provide weekly forecast updates/reports, insight into budgets, and tracking spending.
    • Monthly – Oversee media reconciliation process and incorporate findings into documentation. Support Finance Manager and Program Manager in monthly client and interagency billing. Assist in tracking of Pos.
    • Ongoing - Communicate roadblocks and solutions to Account Leadership and Program Manager. Efficiently track client expenditures across all projects and budgets.  
  • Maintain security | Maintains strict levels of security and confidentiality of all company and client records.
  • Trust in the process | Support accounting processes and procedures to uphold accurate, ethical accounting practices.

  • Detail-Oriented | Keen attention to detail and accuracy of data
  • Agile | Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent Communicator | Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor your message to a specific audience. Able to articulate the status of projects to internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 2 years of general accounting and finance experience required
  • Advanced Excel skills with ability to create formulas, charts/graphs/bars, and pivot tables in Excel
  • Experience in client budgeting
  • Effective problem solver with strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple, short deadlines
  • Ability to work quickly with multiple team members
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement in budgeting
  • Works well with ambiguity, is proactive, and manages effectively
  • Strong retention skills; ability to recall how a situation was handled and apply those learnings to future situations
  • Consistency in delivery of error-free work, on time, at standards that meet or exceed Client and Agency expectations
  • Ability to assume additional responsibilities as assigned
  • A positive attitude, and respect for others
  • Past agency experience preferred
  • Project Management experience is a plus
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
