Who we are looking for:
Wunderman Thompson is seeking a Client Accountant. The Client Accountant is responsible for ensuring company policy and procedures are followed with respect to day-to-day accounting functions, especially with accounts receivables (client billing) and project accounting. They serve as a key team member of the Finance group, and provide operational support and financial expertise to the project management team.
What you’ll do:
- Team | Work closely with project management to enter, administer and manage client contracts and budgets. Jump in on Special projects for the Finance Director as assigned. Assist Finance Manager with revenue recognition and contract reconciliations.
- Process | Review and enter client contracts and budgets into the agency ERP system. Assist the project management team with project administration, including tracking job costs (WIP) and hours. Submit client billing to the SSC team and liaise the distribution of client invoices to the client. Work closely with intercompanies to gather support for all intercompany transactions. Ensure that all agency policies and procedures related to client accounting are adhered to. Perform monthly reconciliations on client accounts for client and agency revenue recognition purposes.

What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree; accounting or finance specialty a plus.
- One year of business or professional experience.
- Competency at Microsoft Excel Intermediate level preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting software preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies/needed corrections.
- Ability to follow written processes and update documentation as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
