Auribel has a Masters of Arts in Graphic Communications Management and Technology from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Advertising from Sacred Heart University, San Juan. She’s also a talented juggler and digital native Xennial. After graduating from university, she started working for a research and planning company before moving to New York City, where Auribel had major roles in agency interactive departments at Y&R, The Bravo Group, The Vidal Partnership and I-Network before returning to her hometown of San Juan. There she started for the newly launched Populi.com.

As Puerto Rico evolved into a fertile ground for digital agencies, Auribel seized the opportunity to achieve her goal of founding her own interactive agency, Pixelmedia, Inc. Her agency won accounts such as BPPR, collaborated with Dieste in the US Hispanic Market, and formed an alliance with BBDO, which won her agency a Cannes Gold Lion award in 2007.

As a business owner she has worn many hats in all areas of agency operations, gaining valuable experience. After the 2008 economic downturn, Pixlemedia’s partnership was dissolved and Auribel accepted the position of Digital Director at LIH before joining J. Walter Thompson in 2012. Ever since, she has been part of J. Walter Thompson Puerto Rico’s great achievements, including their first Grand Prix in Cannes.
