Anita Lotten leads Wunderman Thompson Amsterdam.
Before that she was CFO and a member of the board for J. Walter Thompson. With her background in accountancy, she’s the queen of numbers as well as organizing the business.
She started her career in 1984 with local Amsterdam firm Dijker en Doornbos that later merged into Coopers & Lybrand and PWC. In 1996, she founded her own company, and after ten years she joined J. Walter Thompson. In 2013 she became one of the three local partners of J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam, which was awarded the Agency of the Year in 2016 by SAN, the Dutch foundation of advertisers.
Anita has a cool head and a warm heart. She analyses carefully, is business-wise, and as an entrepreneur always sees new opportunities. To capitalize on them, she relies on her team – by empowering people, they’re able to excel. Anita believes in the power of diverse minds and that everyone has their own expertise.
Collaboration is in her blood – with employees, suppliers and clients – and Anita’s motto is ‘You’re building success together.’
In the creative industry in the Netherlands, Anita is one of the few women leading an agency. Nothing special, according to her, but she also realizes that she sets an example for many young women in the industry and is proud to do so.
