Joe Crump is the Chief Executive Officer of Wunderman Thompson, New York.
Previously, Joe was Managing Director of POSSIBLE, a 1500-person digital-first agency within the WPP network.
Before POSSIBLE, Joe spent 17 years as a leader at Razorfish. During his tenure, Joe launched the Product and Service Innovation Practice, helping the agency's largest clients use emerging technology to invent breakthrough products and experiences. He was also Head of Strategy & Planning and Executive Creative Director. During his tenure as ECD, the agency won more top creative awards than in any time its previous history.
Prior to Razorfish, Joe was a principal at Doblin Group, considered a pioneer in design thinking and human-centered brand innovation.
Joe began his career as a journalist, and worked for 12 years as an editor and writer for many national magazines. A high point was the time he spent covering Gov. Bill Clinton’s first Presidential campaign for Esquire.
Joe gives keynote speeches around the world, including TED and Cannes. In 2006 he was inducted into the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences and sits on its Executive Committee.
