Head of Strategic Planning
Matt joined Wunderman Thompson Athens as Head of Strategic Planning responsible for ensuring creative work is strategy-driven and insight-led as well as driving the digital transformation agenda for key clients. With almost two decades of international experience across industries as varied as Aerospace and Technology to FMCG and Finance, Matt has contributed to major new business wins and helped secure Effie awards for leading clients like Vodafone and AB Supermarkets.
Prior to joining Wunderman Thompson, Matt held senior positions at Venture consulting firms like Rawlings Partners and Myriad Interactive. Before that he was Director of Strategy at e-exchange, a successful tech start-up where he was a key contributor to the company’s rapid growth. He started his career at AT Kearney Management consultants.
Matt is also an entrepreneur, having successfully founded and exited two start-ups in the consumer and technology space. As a result he advises tech funds as well as start-up companies on issues related to business planning, marketing strategy, acquisitions and restructuring.
Matt has served as a judge for numerous advertising awards including Cannes Young Lions, ED Com Ad Venture and more. He is an advisor and mentor for the People’s Trust Charitable Foundation as well as a frequent speaker at universities and technology forums.
Matthew holds a Joint Honors Bachelors in Economics and French from the University of Kent, UK and a Masters degree in International Economics from the University of Grenoble.
