In his role as Director of Marketing & Sales, EMEA, Nils and his team develop, market and sell propositions that enable Wunderman Thompson Commerce clients to transact with their customers via every relevant online channel.

Ecommerce has been a recurring theme for Nils. In the late 1980’s he launched Dynabyte, a large Dutch chain of computers stores, and one of the first online shops. After a stint in telecoms introducing internet access services, he returned to eCommerce in 2003 and launched his own B2C web-shop. Since then, he has worked for various digital agencies, and keeps a close eye on everything eCommerce. For Nils, it is clear that eCommerce has changed retail dramatically, and the next big revolution is about to take place: multi-brand platforms being replaced by online marketplaces. His advice? To ensure you closely monitor where consumers are going and adapt accordingly, continuously optimizing the channel mix.
