Chief Creative Officer
Simon Langley, aka ‘Langers’, has a proven track record of successfully leading agencies and creative departments for over a decade.
Langers has worked at many of the world’s leading agencies both locally and overseas, including AMV.BBDO London, Publicis Mojo, MullenLowe and BMF where, during his six and a half years - 3.5 as Creative Director - he helped lead them to Australian Agency of the Decade.
Langers joined J.Walter Thompson as ECD in 2014, initially across the Sydney and Perth offices. He was then appointed National Chief Creative Officer in 2018, overseeing the entire creative output across the business which is now Wunderman Thompson. During his time the agency has enjoyed many significant new business wins.
Actively involved in the Communications Council over the years; as Co-chair of the Inaugural Creative Leadership course, a former AWARD Committee Member and Speaker at AWARD School, Langers also sits on the Wunderman Thompson Creative Council. He has also had the honour of judging at many major award shows, including D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, AWARD, Spikes to name a few.
Langers has consistently won creative and effectiveness awards at all of these shows, including multiple gold, silver and bronze at Cannes Lions (over 30), multiple Yellow Pencils at D&AD, gold, silver and bronze at The One Show NYC, CLIO, LIA, AWARD and many more. Recently, he was awarded back-to-back Grand Prix in both creative & effectiveness categories at Spikes.
