Sue has been living and breathing advertising for nearly 20 years. She has a wealth of through-the-line experience in managing brands – both operationally & strategically – as well as in integrating multi-disciplined teams and expertise. Having qualified in Journalism, Sue spent the first 4 years of her career working between London, New York and South Africa as a freelance journalist before she pursued her passion for advertising.

Over the years she has worked with brands including BMW, Investec, South African Tourism, National Geographic, Avis, Plascon and Vodacom, and until recently was MD of specialist agency The Hardy Boys. Sue took the helm as Managing Director of Wunderman Thompson’s Advertising division in 2019, and is responsible for the Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban arms of the Group’s brand and communication services.

Her passion points include developing and nurturing talent in the industry, especially up-and-coming female creatives, giving them the support they need to flourish in the industry.
