You will be learning in a fast paced, diverse and cutting-edge team everything about the modern use of data in marketing. The Data Department at Wunderman Thompson is multi-disciplinary – and so will be your role.

You will be trained, supported and given freedom to act as an ambassador for the use of data in marketing from cloud-based data solution development and implementations to data science and in-depth analytics. Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Technology are a global agency which is part creative, part consultancy and part technology.

We are a diverse team of 1700+ commerce experts and over 4,000 technologists with the unique ability to connect world-class strategic thinking and creative insight with deep executional capability across technology and operations to deliver winning commerce solutions across all major digital routes to market worldwide: marketplaces including Amazon, online retailers, D2C, B2B and social commerce.

We are looking for our next generation of account managers love the world of technology and commerce and want to build a long-term career with WT.

Over the course of 12 months, you will have two 6 month rotations across our Technology (CMS) and Commerce businesses, learning first-hand what it takes to be a brilliant account manager. You will work with our clients to understand their strategic objectives, help them achieve their business goals and overcome their challenges through utilising our team’s world renowned technical and consulting expertise.

What will it look like?

Delivery & Account Management (9 Months)

  • · You will spend time with our technical engineering and testing teams to gain an understanding of each specialism.
  • · You will immerse yourself into one of our client Commerce and Tech delivery teams where we use agile methodology to continually delivery website enhancements, optimising customer site engagement to drive revenue for our clients. Working under the Account Executive you will learn the role of account management along with the different delivery functions.
  • · Depending on your experience you may take on delivery of a smaller client deliverable under the account executive supervision.

Consultancy (1 Month)

  • · Hands on support of a business consulting engagement looking at growth opportunities and business operations to help drive growth for our client. This could include competitor analysis, market review, website audit.

Customer Experience (1 month)

  • · Working with our CX/UX team you will work under an existing analyst to support in research and analysis of client site usability and competitor analysis.

Site Analytics (1 Month)

  • Support our analytics team through benchmarking reports for different industries to be re-used across our team. You will be working with existing data analysts to understand the approach for insight to clients for optimisation.

For a holistic view of our business, you will also spend time with the EMEA Client Success Team and Global Client Development.

What You’ll Do

  • You might help a brand create a new product or service.
  • You might design a new streaming service or app.
  • You might spend a few weeks experiencing every aspect of a product in the real world – from buying to recycling – to see how it works or doesn’t, documenting it and looking for opportunities.
  • You might look at a cluttered digital ecosystem and see how to put it back together again.
  • You might launch a new subscription service.
  • You might develop a new interaction or design an accessible icon set.

What you'll do:

Global Business Development:

You will join a high performing team of 6 who support this global community by overseeing growth plans, leveraging our marketing initiatives, protecting and developing our top talent, measuring performance (Client Satisfaction and GCL KPIs) and general governance.

In addition to clear ownership of projects in the above workstreams, everyone in the team has time dedicated to supporting our GCLs on specific client assignments.

At this point, in addition to any client mission, this role will predominantly focus on leveraging our global marketing team’s initiatives across our top global clients, supporting the creation of account-specific marketing plans as well as general governance such as our team workstream tracker.

EMEA Client Success:

As part of the Client Success team, you represent the function that supports all our markets in providing tools, capability guides, training, analytics and reporting that helps them level-up to being the best businesses in our industry. Bringing our values of Connectors and Catalysts to bear, your influence ensures that we bring in the right shape of ambitious new client business to continue the sustained performance of Wunderman Thompson.

Global Product Strategy:

Providing ambitious Catalysts the opportunity to support the development of Wunderman Thompson's Global Product Strategy - supporting across the goals of marketing, new business and internal engagement in order to scale the initial pilot products and unlock the ambitions of our clients across the globe. This role would report into the Global Client Lead and would be in collaboration with the rest of the Global Product team, the Global Client Lead community, and the Product Owners and teams within the piloted products.

EMEA Content:

Our Global Content Centre of Excellence provides break-through global content solutions to top-notch global clients with focus on addressable content, commerce content, social and connected content studios. We bridge the gap between inspiration and execution by connecting craftmanship with production at large.

Prism is the sports and entertainment arm of Wunderman Thompson. We harness the emotional power of sport and entertainment to build brands. At the heart of this is our mantra of engaging audiences with an aim of inspiring them to play, watch, attend, and engage more.

Strategy Consulting:

You’ll be part of a small team of 10-15 consultants, who are part of a bigger 600 consulting unit. Working closely with other consultants, managers, and directors, you will be given the opportunity to dive deep into strategic work to help solve our client’s most complex challenges, whilst learning how to develop methodologies and frameworks which support project delivery.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about helping grow a new transformational consulting practice from the ground up. You are passionate about driving deep transformational change rather than just producing PowerPoint documents and want to be part of a cross-functional team, working closely with UX, UI, Brand, Data and Technology.
