To help victims of domestic violence during the COVID-19 global pandemic, Wunderman Thompson Italy was asked to design a social campaign for Italian NGO Telefono Rosa, or Pink Telephone, offering victims a channel to discuss and address their issues.


Our team wanted to shed light on the fact that for some, home is not the safest place right now, which in the current situation is very sad. Wunderman Thompson Italy offered a different perspective on the ‘stay at home’ message to sensitize the audience to this critical issue.


We developed on-air OOH advertisements and an online social media campaign while also working with WPP partners Mindshare and Kinetic on media. The campaign messaging was positioned near the supermarkets and malls in cities where many are shopping now because of COVID-19.


The campaign has inspired many women to come forward and ask for help, either by calling or chatting Telefono Rosa.
